Race Course Profile

Each lap is 8 kilometers (5 miles) long, and includes roughly 163 vertical meters (535 feet) of climbing.

The first section, from the start to kilometer 1.8, is paved.
The rest of the uphill section, to kilometer 4, is a very rough and rocky double track
that has deteriorated into single track in places.
Most of the downhill sections are twisty single track trails,
except for two heavily eroded and somewhat technical dirt road sections.
There is a short but entertaining soft section at kilometer 6.5.
The segment from kilometer 6.75 to 7.75 is single track trail.
It starts out smooth and fast but becomes rough and twisty.
Finally, there is a .25 km. paved section to the start / finish line.

There is a detailed map of the race course on the Internet.
